THE COMPLETE PRINT TIMELINE
Campaign printing, phase by phase
Most campaigns under-order early and panic late. This calendar shows exactly what to buy and when, starting with a foundational launch bundle and building through every phase to Election Day.
FEB
APR
2026
Phase 1 - Launch
Order 8-10 Weeks Before Launch
Start with the Campaign Launch Bundles
The moment you announce, you need visibility fast. Your launch bundle puts your name on lawns, in hands, and on doors before the competition even gets organized. Order once, ship everything together, hit the ground running.
The Launch Bundles
Campaign Launch Bundles
One coordinated order covering your visibility, canvassing, and leave-behind needs from day one. Union-made, ships in 5 business days. Upload your artwork and we handle the rest.
Yard Signs
150-1,000
Palm Cards
5,000-30,000
Rally Signs
500-2,000
Lapel Stickers
1,000-5,000
Bumper Stickers
250-2,000
LAUNCH TIMING TIP
Order your launch bundle 8–10 weeks before your announcement date to allow for artwork review, production, and shipping. Most campaigns that feel behind on printing waited too long on this first order. The earlier you're visible, the harder you are to catch.

Phase 2 - Name Awareness
Reorder before Memorial Day
Expand your yard sign presence & replenish canvassing materials
By May, your launch supply is depleting and your canvassing program is heating up. This phase focuses on expanding sign coverage into new areas and restocking palm cards and yard signs for your growing volunteer base.
PRIORITY REORDER
Yard Signs — Expansion
Target new neighborhoods, main corridors, and supporter lawns you didn't cover at launch. Visibility compounds — every new sign builds on the last.
ADD TO LAUNCH SUPPLY
+100 - +300
Order by May 15 — ship before Memorial Day weekend
REORDER
Palm Cards
Your canvass program is scaling. Volunteers go through palm cards faster than campaigns expect. Reorder before you run short — never let your team hit doors without materials.
SUPPLEMENT BY
2,000 - 3,000
Match to upcoming canvassing schedule
REORDER IF NEEDED
Rally Signs
Summer events, parades, and endorsement announcements need rally signs. Order now for Memorial Day, July 4th, and summer campaign events.
EVENT SUPPLY
100 - 250
Order 2 weeks before first major event
REORDER IF NEEDED
Bumper stickers — events
Give supporters something to take home from events. Bumper stickers extend your visibility into every commute across your district long after the event ends.
EVENT SUPPLY
250 - 500
Bundle with your rally sign order for fastest shipping and fulfillment

NEW
Door hangers
As your canvass program scales up, door hangers extend your reach — left behind when no one answers the door, keeping your name in front of voters between contacts. Now is the time to introduce them into your field program.
CANVASSING SUPPLY
1,500 – 5,000
Introduce ahead of your first major canvass wave
VISIBILITY STRATEGY
Yard sign placement has diminishing returns in the same locations — new signs in new neighborhoods are always more valuable than doubling up where you're already visible. Use your May reorder to push into areas you haven't penetrated yet.

Phase 3 - Field Operations
Critical reorder window — don't wait
Full canvassing re-supply + materials for primary push
Summer is canvass season. Your field program is in full swing and materials consumption accelerates dramatically. This is the phase where campaigns most often run short — order aggressively and build a buffer for your final push.
HIGHEST PRIORITY
Palm cards — canvass
This is your biggest order of the cycle. Your canvass program is touching your full voter universe. Order enough to cover the remainder of your field program plus a 20% buffer for GOTV.
FULL UNIVERSE COVERAGE
5,000 – 30,000
Order by July 1 — gives time for quality review
REORDER
Door hangers
Targeted to priority precincts and persuadable voter households. Your door hanger program should cover 50–60% of your canvassing universe.
PRECINCT COVERAGE
3,000 - 18,000
Phase 1 for July canvass, restock August
REORDER
Rally signs - final push
Fill remaining coverage gaps before the summer ends. After Labor Day, new sign placements decline — now is the last opportunity for meaningful new coverage.
COVERAGE GAP FILL
+50 – +200
NEW
Promotional merchandise
Union events, summer festivals, and endorsement rallies need branded gear. T-shirts, buttons, and totes for your core supporter base and volunteer teams.
EVENT & VOLUNTEER SUPPLY
Program-based
Order 3 weeks ahead of events — apparel takes longer
DON'T MAKE THIS MISTAKE
Campaigns that wait until September to reorder palm cards routinely face rush fees, compressed timelines, and stock shortages. Your July–August order should include a 20% buffer above your estimated needs — you will use it during the final push.
SEP
OCT
2026
Phase 4 - Final Push
Order by Oct 10 — hard deadline
GOTV materials, door hangers & Election Day prep
The last 6 weeks before Election Day. Every order now is on a tight timeline — production and shipping leave no room for delays. Focus on GOTV door hangers, election day rally signs, and any final yard sign replacements.
RUSH PRIORITY
GOTV door hangers
Your most targeted piece — hitting specific households in priority precincts with a direct Election Day message. Order enough for 2 passes through your GOTV world.
GOTV UNIVERSE × 2
2,000 – 15,000
MUST order by October 10 for November delivery
RUSH PRIORITY
Election Day rally signs
Poll locations, major intersections, and your election night event. Rally signs are your last visual impression on voters heading to the polls.
ELECTION DAY VISIBILITY
100 - 500
Order by October 15 — allows 5-day production + shipping
IF NEEDED
Palm card restock
If your field program burned through your summer supply faster than expected, restock now. This is your last window for a standard turnaround order.
GOTV CANVASS SUPPLY
1,000 – 5,000
IF NEEDED
Yard sign replacements
Signs get stolen, vandalized, or damaged in fall weather. A small replacement run keeps your visibility intact through October and to Election Day.
REPLACEMENT SUPPLY
25 - 100
Order by October 1 — weather delays can affect shipping
OCTOBER 10 IS YOUR HARD DEADLINE FOR STANDARD ORDERS
After October 10, standard 5-day production + standard shipping will not reach you before Election Day. Rush production is available but adds cost and risk. Everything your campaign needs for November 3rd must be ordered no later than October 10th for guaranteed delivery.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS THE DEADLINE
Contact us directly. Rush production is available on most products. Our team will tell you honestly what is achievable and at what cost. We have fulfilled emergency orders as late as 10 days before Election Day — but it requires direct coordination, not a storefront order.

Campaign print timeline FAQs
Order your first run of yard signs 8–10 weeks before your announcement or launch date. For a November election, your launch signs should be ordered no later than February or March. Reorder in May to expand coverage and again in late summer to fill gaps before fall.
The hard deadline for standard-turnaround political printing for a November election is October 10th. After that date, standard 5-day production plus shipping will not arrive before Election Day. Rush production is available but requires direct contact — not a storefront order.
Include palm cards in your launch bundle and plan to reorder at least twice — once in May–June as your canvass ramps up, and again in July as your field program goes full speed. Never let your canvass team run out of materials — the cost of a reorder is far less than losing a canvass day.
GOTV door hangers should be ordered by October 10th at the latest for a November election. They're distributed in the final 2–3 days before Election Day — you need them in hand by October 28th at the absolute latest to allow for distribution staging.
MyUnionPrinter's standard production and shipping time is 5 business days from artwork approval. Rush production is available for urgent orders. Always add 1–2 days buffer for artwork review if your files are not already print-ready. For large orders, contact us to confirm production timelines before placing your order.
The standard campaign print timeline has 4 order windows: Launch (Feb–Apr), Awareness expansion (May–Jun), Field operations bulk order (Jul–Aug), and Final push (Sep–Oct 10). Each window has different products and quantities — your launch bundle sets the foundation and each subsequent order supplements it.
Yes — and most campaigns do, 2–3 times per cycle. Your artwork stays on file after your first order, making reorders fast. The most common reorder is palm cards in July–August when field programs scale up faster than anticipated. Build a 20% buffer into every order to reduce the urgency of reorders.
For Election Day you need: yard signs at poll locations (check local regulations), rally signs at major intersections near polling places, palm cards for poll greeters, and lapel stickers for volunteers and supporters. All of these should be ordered in your September–October window and staged before Election Day morning.
